Love is blossoming even in the midst of the global coronavirus pandemic. One such example is that of Jack Fowler of “Love Island” fame, who recently revealed that he is now in a relationship.
Metro reports that Fowler made the announcement on his Instagram, posting a photo with a woman and captioning it with the words “It’s all good over on this side.”
Fellow “Love Island” alumni were quick to congratulate the 24-year-old in the comments section of the post. Josh Denzel wished for more life blessing for him, while Wes Nelson expressed happiness that the relationship was finally out in the open.
This is the first time that Fowler has revealed what his girlfriend looks like, although he had hinted last month that he was indeed seeing someone. However, the couple’s relationship has mostly been virtual as of now because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Fowler says that they had been consistently Facetiming and keeping each other in the loop with each other’s lives as much as possible.
While Fowler did not name his new girlfriend, Cosmopolitan says that his fans have identified her as an entrepreneur named Joanne who owns an underwear company called Nu Nude.
Aside from finding out the identity of the girl, fans were also heartbroken that Fowler had finally found love. In tweets collated by Cosmopolitan, fan reaction ranged from a fan saying that 2020 has now gotten worse, to another declaring that they need some time alone now that Fowler has found a girl.
With the global coronavirus pandemic forcing people to stay inside, it has become easier to spot celebrity couples as soon as they step out of their homes. The pregnancy of Rupert Grint’s partner, Georgia Groome, was confirmed when the couple was photographed heading out to buy supplies to get them through the lockdown implemented in the United Kingdom. Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin, along with Johnson’s dog, were also spotted in Malibu walking arm in arm.
Having a less fun time during the lockdown is Florence Pugh, who had to post a video on her Instagram defending her relationship with Zach Braff, who is more than two decades older than her.
As the number of confirmed COVID-19 infections continue to rise around the world, it looks like Fowler may have to continue Facetiming with his new girlfriend. According to the World Health Organization situation report for May 6, there are now 3,588,773 people around the world who have COVID-19. Fatalities are now at 247,503 people.
In the United Kingdom, The Guardian says there are now 201,101 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of that total, 129,799 are found in England, 12,709 are found in Scotland, 10,764 are found in Wales, and 3,934 are found in Northern Ireland. The total number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in the United Kingdom is at 30,076 people.
