Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, cried tears of joy after hearing what Prince William and Prince Harry had to say after they reconciled.
In its Jan. 18 issue, Us Weekly claimed that Prince William and Prince Harry promised their 94-year-old grandmother to always keep their communication lines open.
This means that the siblings vowed to the queen that they will never have a falling out again.
According to the tabloid, Prince William and Prince Harry stopped talking for two years before finally healing their rift over the holidays.
And one of the things that encouraged them to set aside their differences is the ongoing investigation over Princess Diana’s 1995 interview.
The siblings also wanted to make the queen happy considering her delicate age. And they know that the queen is upset when Prince William and Prince Harry had a falling out.
“She found the ugliness between William and Harry extremely hard to handle, not only because they are her beloved grandchildren, but also because they’re the heads of the next generation and need to be united and sending a message of positivity to royal watchers,” the source said.
Prior to their reconciliation, Prince William and Prince Harry had a falling out shortly after the latter expressed his desire to propose to Meghan Markle.
And most recently, the siblings’ feud worsened after Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit The Firm.
According to the source, Prince William couldn’t comprehend why it was so easy for his brother to forget about everything that they were raised to believe in.
But at the end of the day, the siblings decided to forgive each other. And they have also vowed to always have each other’s backs.
Last year, several publications revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship has improved.
In fact, the brothers even exchanged Christmas presents with their loved ones.
And just this week, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that Prince William and Prince Harry brought their families together over the holidays.
She revealed that the brothers called each other via video call on Christmas Day and New Year.
Nicholl also confirmed that Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship has improved.
Exactly a year ago, the siblings weren’t even on speaking terms. In fact, Prince William refused to meet Prince Harry last year when the queen invited them to attend a summit at Sandringham.
