Kylie Jenner has declared the launch of her new hand sanitizer, which had her fans divided. While some felt she was trying to take leverage off the pandemic, others felt it was a good business move.
It is the latest addition to her skincare line, and Jenner took to Twitter to announce the launch of the product. The 23-year-old had launched her company Kyle Skin in 2019. It seems her latest product will help to combat the COVID-19 crisis.
The sanitizer comes with a price tag of $7. The beauty mogul had earlier donated $1 million for LA's health workers who are battling against the deadly virus.
However, her fans were divided while responding to the launch of this new product. Some felt she was trying to capitalize on the coronavirus pandemic. Others praised the packaging of the sanitizer and mentioned that they were thrilled over buying the product.
She also mentioned that the hand sanitizer was available on her beauty website, according to The News International. The mom-of-one mentioned that the product had 80% alcohol and had glycerin in it so that skin would not get dry after using it.
Some followers criticized her for the high price tag. One user wrote that Jenner is publicizing her hand sanitizer in a way to show the world as if it was something special.
The reality TV star’s mom also could not refrain from commenting on her daughter’s post. She mentioned that the product had several “incredible benefits.” She added that she loved the hand sanitizer as it was a perfect solution for cleansing one’s hands.
The pseudo billionaire also owns Kylie Cosmetics, which she launched in 2015. The 23-year-old shares her daughter Stormi with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Travis Scott. Meanwhile, Kylie Skin offers a range of skincare products, including creams, face washes, moisturizers, masks, serums, and scrubs, according to Daily Mail.
In other news, Kylie Jenner is one of those celebrities who enjoy one of the highest follower bases on Instagram. However, she decided to go on an “unfollowing” spree on the photo-sharing platform by unfollowing many of her close friends.
The owner of Kylie Cosmetics unfollowed Fai Khadra and Sofia Richie, among others. She now has just 28 users on her “following” list. It was a surprising move as Khadra was recently a part of her ski trip to Aspen with other close family members. She has also been a close pal of Richie for many years now.
It is believed that Kylie Jenner does not want to poke her nose in Sofia Richie and Scott Disick’s relationship. Disick is incidentally her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s former boyfriend.
