BTS proves that they are genuinely the world’s most phenomenal K-pop group as the band maintained its height on Billboard Hot 100. That said, BTS’s Dynamite continues its domination on the chart while simultaneously achieving impressive Youtube feats.

BTS’s Billboard Hot 100 ranking

According to Soompi, the Grammy-nominated band was announced by Billboard to have finished at No. 5 on its new Hot 100 chart. The said song chart is dated January 9, ranking all popular songs in the United States from all genres.

The rankings of the songs listed, including Dynamite’s, is based on the radio airplay, sales data, and streaming factors, including the official music video and official video streams. Furthermore, the ranking of BTS on the prestigious chart by Billboard bestows its 13th non-consecutive week to be included in the Top 10 list.

To date, the K-pop septet is the new record holder of being the artist behind the longest-running song on the chart by a Korean artist in the Top 10. The previous artist who held the record was PSY for his 2012 hit track titled Gangnam Style. The song only stayed on the chart for 12 non-consecutive weeks.

The excellent Billboard stay of BTS via Dynamite on the chart includes three weeks at No.1 and four weeks at No. 2. With that said, the single from BE spends its 19th week on the chart, still falling short of defeating PSY’s whopping record of 31 weeks for Gangnam Style.

BTS’s music video for Dynamite hits 750 million views on Youtube

The song topping the Hot 100 also dominated Youtube streaming traffic as it surpasses 750 million views on January 5 (Tuesday). It is now the fastest Korean group music video to earn such soaring views, defeating BLACKPINK’s DDU-DU DDU-DU.

BLACKPINK took nine months and 27 days to achieve the feat, while BTS only took about four months and 14 days. It follows six music videos of the band that performed the same feat, such as Boy With Luv, MIC Drop, IDOL, DNA, and Fake Love, per Grantshala.

In another Soompi report, the same day Dynamite reached 750 million views on Youtube, the music for Save Me ranks up the impressive record of the band on the platform.

At around 8 AM KST, the said music video surpasses 550 million views. It follows the footsteps of the nine music videos of the group, namely Blood Sweat & Tears, Dope, IDOL, Boy With Luv, MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix), Fake Love, Fire, DNA, and Dynamite.
