The review for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit deal is looming on the horizon. Last year the Sandringham Summit, as it was dubbed, was headed by Queen Elizabeth and included senior royal members, such as Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry.
With the recent launch of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation website, the shocking choice of displayed photos has critics scratching their heads.
The duo bluntly ignored Prince Charles on their website and instead opted for a photo of a young Prince Harry and the late Princess Diana.
According to critics, this calls for a major punishment on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In connection to their ‘Megxit’ review, people are now urging the Queen to not allow the American-based couple to renegotiate.
Furthermore, people have voiced out their concerns over Her Majesty’s possibility to let Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue using their royal titles.
Since last year, upon their decision to step down as senior royals, Britons have campaigned for the removal of the couple’s royal titles. The Queen decidedly stripped them off from their ‘HRH’ title, but there is still a possibility that this may be reinstated after this year’s review.
The famous critic and host Piers Morgan aired his displeasure on the news that the couple requested to extend their deal with the Royal Firm.
Morgan firmly believes that Harry and Meghan should have had their titles stripped off as early as the moment they decidedly stepped down from their royal duties.
He also talked about their new website on his show Good Morning Britain wherein he branded the moves as ‘shameful’ and called for the Her Majesty to penalize the duo.
The TV host also cited their frank neglect of Prince Charles on Archewell’s official website.
A majority of British citizens agree with Morgan’s views, and polls commissioned by websites show a consistent result showing a high percentage of the population wanting the couple to be stripped off of their titles.
In a recent poll by Express UK, 92% of the poll participants voted for the title removal, while only 7% voted against it, another 2% were not sure.
One person commented on the poll results saying, "Yes. Strip it now. No new negotiations. Just begone."
The palace is not blind to these polls, and with the obvious decline of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity in the UK, a major decision regarding their title and their remaining royal duties may be decided on the ‘Megxit’ review.
