Sing 2 will be graced by the voices of three of today's brightest singers
Halsey, 26, Pharrell Williams, 47, and Bono, 60, are about to create a great team as the three musicians are up to be together on Sing 2. The collaboration will be through an animated form, in the face of Sing 2, by Universal and Illumination.
Billboard stated that the 2016 hit movie's sequel film would include the voices of Bobby Cannavale, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, and Chelsea Peretti. The voices of the original cast members Scarlet Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Tori Kelly, Matthew McConaughey, Nick Kroll, and Taron Egerton will also be in the upcoming film.

NME reported that the Without You singer Halsey will be voicing Porsche's character, a teen wolf, who happens to be the daughter of Cannavale's Jimmy Crystal.

On the other hand, Pharrell will be Alfonso, an elephant truck driver who falls in love with Tori Kelly's character, which is also of the same animal kind.
At the same time, Bono will debut in the animated industry as Clay Calloway, a rock star lion who dumps the rest of the world after losing his wife.
"The film is a musical celebration of the unrelenting pursuit of one's dreams, no matter how large the challenges that stand in your way," Illumination CEO and Founder Chris Melendandri said. He added that the movie would relay the message of the power of optimism and belief.
To date, the songs that the three musicians will be singing in the show is still unknown, but fans are concluding that it wi8ll surely be a hit.
Moreover, Chris shared that the Sing franchise attracts such exceptional talent, and the cast is the most outstanding example, per Deadline.

Aside from the cast mentioned above, the productions shared that the sequel film will be making its way to cinemas on Dec. 2021, produced under Illumination. The production firm is also responsible for successful animated films like The Secret Life of Pets and Despicable Me franchises.
With the news of the sequel, fans were delighted after waiting years. The first entry of the franchise was launched in 2016, with a story plot that made the viewers be mesmerized. Undoubtedly, next year's holiday season will be merrier as Sing 2 will make its way to kids' hearts, bringing lessons and takeaways of various kinds.
