Meghan Markle couldn’t, allegedly, help but make fun of her so-called replacement, Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
In its Dec. 28 issue, Woman's Day claimed that Markle watched the royal reunion unfold right before her very eyes. And she couldn’t help but think of how drab and boring it is.
Markle’s attention was captured by Prince Edward’s wife, who she believes was given more royal duties after she and Prince Harry quit The Firm.
“She particularly has it in for poor Sophie, who has stepped up to help the Cambridges with public engagements as a replacement when Meghan left. Meghan thinks Sophie is a wet blanket with no style,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie weren’t also thrilled when they saw Kate Middleton beaming during the engagement.
After all, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters, allegedly, think that their position within the royal family is higher than Middleton’s because she’s not a royal by blood.
Unfortunately, since Middleton is married to Prince William, who is the future king of Britain, her position in the royal family is much higher than Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The source claimed that the royal siblings couldn’t help but feel sidelined by Queen Elizabeth because she seems to favor the Duchess of Cambridge over them.
To make things worse, the queen just launched the royal eight, and the group doesn’t include Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
By the looks of it, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have already adjusted to the fact that they are not working royals.
As such, they aren’t expected to make public appearances or perform royal duties on behalf of the monarch just like Middleton.
In related news, Middleton’s husband, Prince William also made headlines this week after he reportedly expressed his dislike for Prince Andrew.
According to Daily Mail, the Duke of Cambridge has never been a fan of the Duke of York.
And after Prince Andrew was embroiled in a scandal last year, Prince William couldn’t help but feel that him stepping away from his royal duties was the right thing to do.
In October. there were reports that Prince Andrew is trying to convince the queen to allow him to return to the royal fold.
However, it is unclear if this claim is accurate before Prince Andrew still hasn’t returned to his royal duties after stepping back in November 2019.
