Elon Musk's girlfriend Grimes has just given birth to the couple's first son.
Page Six reports that the billionaire himself tweeted that the mo and baby are good but he did not say anything else about the birth. It was in January when Grimes came clean about her pregnancy and in an interview with Rolling Stone in March, she further confirmed that the father of her child is the founder and CEO of SpaceX. Although this is the first child for the Canadian pop singer, Musk already had six children with former wife Justine Wilson. His first son, Nevada, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at ten weeks. He and Justine then had children through in vitro fertilization. They a set of twins followed by triplets, all of whom are boys and they share custody of their five sons.
Musk and Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, announced that they were dating in May 2018. They actually met through Twitter and made their public debut as a couple at none other than the 2018 Met Gala. Grimes also showed up at a Space X event shortly after. They were thought to have broken up by August when they unfollowed each other on Instagram, but that was proven false. Not much has been reported about the unlikely couple since then, not until Grimes took to her Instagram account to reveal that she was in fact pregnant.
When she became the cover of Rolling Stone in March, she confirmed taht the father of her unborn child was Musk. CNET reports that their baby is a boy, as confirmed by Musk himself.
Grimes is not the first famous artist that Musk has dated. In 2016 it was reported that he dated 'Aquaman' actress Amber Heard. There were some rumors that she actually cheated on then-husband Johnny Depp with Musk, but this was vehemently denied by the inventor. Heard separated from Depp in May 2016 and even filed a temporary restraining order against the actor. Musk and Heard reportedly dated for a year before splitting up. His name was again associated with Heard when news about her and Depp resurfaced.
The two are still battling it out in court as Depp has filed a defamation suit against Heard regarding the op-ed she penned for the Washington Post. He claims that it was Heard who was actually the abuser in the relationship and he has presented evidence to back up his claim. Heard's motion to dismiss the said lawsuit was denied.
