Bob Odenkirk is all set to surprise his fans with his upcoming action pack movie, Nobody. The 58-year-old actor took Twitter to drop the trailer directed by Ilya Naishuller. The universal studio decided to release the movie one week later on Feb. 26 while earlier slated to release on Feb. 19.
The action-thriller is going to release on a crowded weekend, including Everybody’s Talking About Jamie by 20th Century Studios and the United States vs. Billie Holiday by Paramount. While the official Twitter handle of the film shared the Trailer, Odenkirk retweeted the post and said that he made this action film for personal reasons.
The actor revealed that one of the reasons is Vengeance. Although the actor didn't disclose more reasons, for now, it seems the promotions will reveal further reasons. The actor previously admitted that Hutch Mansell's character got the s**t kicked out of him.
Odenkirk confessed that he always wanted to do an action movie and work outside his comfort zone. The actor has been working in the entertainment industry for over decades as a comedy writer. However, he became a household name after working in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The movie will mark a 180-degree turn in the actor's career. In an interview with EW, the actor said that he just wanted to stay committed to his character and his rage, which helped him to perform. Emmy award winner Christopher Lloyd portrays Hutch's father, Hutch’s brother is played by musician-actor RZA, Hutch's wife is Wonder Woman's, Connie Nielsen. In contrast, the son's character is played by The Shack's Gage Munroe.
The co-director of John Wick's first installment, David Leitch, is the producer of the film while it is penned by one of the John Wick franchise's architects, Derek Kolstad. Odenkirk has been acknowledged with Emmy award for his performance in Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, while he also got nominated at Golden Globe for his portrayal as Jimmy McGill.
Since the trailer has dropped, netizens couldn't stop comparing Nobody's action with John Wick. The trailer has been packed with action scenes that are knuckle-crunchers, while the actor's soft side is also highlighted when his family appears on-screen.
Hutch's journey will showcase the actor's dark side, similar to John Wick, where the gangster unleashed unknowingly the Baba Yaga beast as he killed one of his assassin's dogs. In Nobody, someone messes the same way with Hutch's daughter's kitty bracelet that leads to some cracking in the skulls.
