The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been battling Associated Press Incorporated since last 2019. Meghan Markle first filed a case against DailyMail UK after the newspaper published personal letters intended for his father.
During the first round of court battle, Meghan Markle lost against the DailyMail but continued to appeal her case.
Apparently, Prince Harry is now involved with the situation. Rappler reported that the Duke of Sussex has recently filed a case against the Associated Press as well after not involving himself in his wife’s case.
The Duke is slapping a libel case against the Press allegedly in the last week of November for reports published regarding his communication with the Royal Marine.
DailyMail UK claimed that Prince Harry, whose honorable military titles were suspended post-exit from the Royal Firm, has cut off all ties with the Royal Marines.
Back in 2017, Prince Harry was awarded the role of Captain General Royal Marines by Queen Elizabeth.
The role has been left vacant, and the Mail further alleged that the governing person of the Marines has requested for the Queen to assign another royal to take over the post.
These accusations have reportedly upset Prince Harry dearly as his military career has been one of his proudest moments. Prince Harry has been one of the longest-serving royal in the Army, with a track record of 10 years in service, and had two tours in Afghanistan.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to leave the royal firm has greatly affected the honorable military roles Harry was appointed with. The titles he has been awarded during his 10-year career in the Army for his hard work has been left untouched.
Upon learning that his other titles were to be suspended, Prince Harry was amicably unhappy. He has continued to support the British Royal Army despite being a non-working royal.
DailyMail’s accusation has caused severe grief for the Prince as there were also reports included in this narrative that Prince William, Harry’s older brother, will be taking on the roles he has left vacant.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s stance with their titles are to be under review this coming March 2021. The second Sandringham Summit to be attended by the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry will see to the evaluation of Meghan and Harry with their commercial ventures, as well as their royal titles.
There has yet to be a comment made regarding the situation by Prince Harry’s camp and that of the Associated Press.
