Responses then filled Cardi B's tweet, but it turns out the answers are not what she expected to receive. The messages the rapper got is about her crooked tweet that is very irrelevant and untimely: considering the pandemic is making the world suffer for the time being.
Fans were rapid to call out Cardi by saying spending a lot of dollars for a material good is unnecessary, while there some people could not even afford to buy food or pay their rent because of the COVID-19 restrictions.
E! reported that the Bodak Yellow rapper defended herself from the agitating talk by the netizens. She put out on Twitter that she and her Fashion Nova brand gave out $1 million to those people affected by the pandemic earlier this year.
Also, Cardi gave prominence to her 20,000 meal supplements donation to New York City hospitals and the $1 million grant to her fans through Cash App.
The rapper also shared that she helped her relatives from both her mother's and father's side because of the pandemic, so it is not anyone's business to spend her money on a luxury.
Cardi B confidently responded
Billboard stated that Cardi challenged the people who said she is no good by turning her rebuttal into a challenge!
"Drop receipts on what YOU have donated too. I will match and donate to an organization you have donated to as well," Cardi wrote on Twitter, and as quoted by Hollywood Life.
With that said, Cardi proved herself accountable to her words by posting samples of the receipts she matched. She further explained that she did not offend anybody with her tweet or doing something illegal.
One more thing, Cardi shared that she will not apologize for what she did because she worked so hard and that her question about the expensive purse is for her genuine fans. But eventually, Cardi apologized and added why many are not demanding POTUS Donald Trump apologize for playing gold instead of attending COVID-19 meetings.
Well, that is another story!
