Dolly Parton has, allegedly, been instrumental in helping Miley Cyrus stay sober.
In its Dec. 14 issue, National Enquirer claimed that the “9 to 5” singer saved Cyrus from a huge meltdown recently.
As Cyrus’ godmother, Parton has, allegedly, been giving the singer advice and supporting her during the most difficult times of her life.
Parton has never, allegedly, lectured Cyrus about her lifestyle. And this is the reason why the “Wrecking Ball” singer listens to her.
Cyrus, allegedly, decided to stay sober after falling off the wagon because of Parton.
A source also told the tabloid that Parton is always at Cyrus’ beck and call. After all, the two singers have an unbreakable bond, and Parton, allegedly, assured Cyrus that she will always be there for her.
Another thing that Cyrus, allegedly, loves about her godmother is that she always showers her with compliments.
Since Parton never had children, she treats the Hannah Montana alum as her own daughter.
Parton also knows a thing or two about depression because she struggled in the 80s after getting a hysterectomy.
The singer learned that she cannot have children, and this was a massive blow to her personal life.
However, Parton managed to recover from the devastating revelation. And this is one of the things that Cyrus looks up to.
Earlier this year, Cyrus paid tribute to Parton on her 74th birthday. On her Instagram account, she shared a throwback GIF of herself impersonating her godmother.
Years ago, Cyrus appeared in The Tonight Show as Parton. She donned a huge blonde wing and a black dress that is reminiscent of Parton’s signature style.
Around the same time, Parton gushed over Cyrus’s then-boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.
During an interview with Sunrise, she said that Hemsworth is the most handsome man she’s ever seen. Parton also said that the Australian hunk is also a nice person.
The singer added that Hemsworth and Cyrus are lucky to have found each other because they seem like a good team.
Unfortunately, the A-listers’ relationship was short-lived. Last year, Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their divorce after an on-again-off-again relationship.
Shortly after their split, Cyrus had a fling with Kaitlynn Carter. However, their romance ended because Cyrus got into a relationship with another Australian hunk, Cody Simpson.
Unfortunately, Cyrus and Simpson's relationship didn’t last either. But following their split, Cyrus said that there’s no drama between her and Simpson because they’re still good friends.
