Fans of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have restlessly been waiting for the couple to reveal their wedding plans but much to their chagrin, details about when and how they plan to tie the knot are still scarce. As expected, the couple's hotly-anticipated wedding has been subject to multiple speculations, with the latest one suggesting they are ready to say "I do."
Less than two months after announcing their engagement via Instagram posts, the 44-year-old country star and his longtime girlfriend are ready to get married, a source told PEOPLE. The couple got engaged at Shelton's ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Noting this won't be a long engagement, the source said there is a reason why Blake decided to propose now, explaining that they are both ready to get married. The source went on to say that The Voice coaches do not fancy having a huge wedding and prefer their family and close friends attending it.
It is worth noting that Shelton and Stefani, 51, have not set a date yet. Stefani and Blake announced their engagement on Oct. 27 by sharing a joint announcement in the form of a photo, wherein the No Doubt alum is showing off her engagement ring. "Yes, please," the songstress wrote in the caption section of the photo, while the country singer thanked his longtime girlfriend for saving his 2020 and the rest of his life in the post.
Gwen and Shelton fell in love in 2015 on the set of The Voice after bonding over their high profile divorces. Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, whom he married in 2011 before calling it quits in 2015,
Stefani had also split with Gavin Rossdale at the time. She married Rossdale in 2002 and their marriage ended in 2015. She shares three children with the Bush frontman. While details about their marriage are still few and far between, DailyMail suggests they may tie the knot in the same place they got engaged, Shelton's Oklahoma ranch.
As a tribute to their love, Shelton built a chapel on his Oklahoma ranch with help. A source told Us Weekly that the couple is planning to get married in the chapel, most likely next year. Fans of the adorable couple have been waiting with bated breath for them to reveal their wedding plans, but it looks like Gwen and Shelton are not willing to spill the beans on their wedding plans yet.
