Prince Harry’s latest virtual engagement has got many royal experts scratching their heads. The Prince speech, which tackles the effects of Climate Change and what we can do to counter it, has thoroughly confused many of his biggest critics.
Piers Morgan, the presenter of Good Morning Britain, has been one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's biggest critics. Now, Morgan is slamming Prince Harry for his ‘hypocritical’ approach in his latest appearance for WaterBear.
Morgan goes on to point out that the Duke of Sussex’s new home in California has several baths, which he argues is counteractive to what the 37-year-old royal is preaching.
In the Prince’s speech, he compares people to raindrops of water, explaining that like raindrops that help the parched land, people should act like raindrops and help fight climate change.
The Good Morning Britain host had a lot to say regarding this analogy of Harry and even went as far as calculating the amount of water the Prince uses in his 16 bath mansion.
“Every one of us, ‘what if every single one of us was a raindrop,’ he announced. This is to cure the world of global warming, obviously, from his Californian mansion, which coincidentally, talking of raindrops, has 16 bathrooms. Their 16 bathrooms, if they’re used every day, would use 72million drops of water a day,” Morgan judiciously muttered on the show.
He then blasted the Prince for his use of private planes during his travels in 2019 and earlier in 2020. Both Meghan and Harry have been apologetic regarding their travel blunder.
Furthermore, Morgan brought up the studies conducted on the Royal Family’s travel last year, which revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had the most expensive Royal tour and the worst carbon footprint amongst the royals.
When asked if he would ‘check out’ Harry and 39-year-old Meghan Markle’s woke documentaries on Netflix, the presenter thoroughly rejected the idea.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex struck a rumored $150 million deal with Netflix last August. The Sussex camp issued a statement regarding their vision of their partnership with the streaming giant.
Their published statement reveals that they will be producing many TV shows, documentaries, and children’s programs that will tackle important topics the world is facing today.
The couple continued to do a lot of charity work and supported several organizations and patronages even without the support of the Royal Family.
