The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been thoroughly enjoying their new life in the sunshine state of California, U.S., and although it seems like the royal pair is leading a wonderful life, behind closed doors, Prince Harry is struggling to become a private citizen.
In his newest collaboration with WaterBear, the Duke talks about climate change. In a video released by the organization, one can hear the Prince's speech about taking action instead of just ‘saying’ things about climate change.
But noticeably, the Prince’s discourse was more confusing than comprehensible. Body language experts Judi James weighs on the 37-year-old’s latest appearance.
According to Ms. James, Prince Harry appeared to be struggling during his speech. His message comes across ‘thoroughly muddled,’ commented the body analyst.
“Harry appears to be drowning in a sea of corporate-speak himself here, getting thoroughly muddled in the process as he talks about ‘putting the do’s behind the say’s,” Judi James shares.
Furthermore, the Duke of Sussex made comments on the Covid pandemic, which can be considered as controversial. Prince Harry suggests that the virus is a rebuke from mother nature in a bid to call on for more action towards climate change.
He compares the lockdowns to being ‘grounded’ by mother nature.
Prince Harry then continued by saying that the lockdowns gave people more time to interconnect with one another.
Both he and wife Meghan Markle have been ostracized in the past for flying to destinations using private jets in the past year. The two’s carbon footprint is also amongst the highest in the royal family despite being the loudest ‘environmentalists’ in the royal firm.
In his speech, Prince Harry likened humans to raindrops, saying that every raindrop is important for a parched land, and if every persona acts like a raindrop and starts caring about nature, then we might combat the destruction of nature.
Many critics slammed this idea from the Prince as a pretentious message. This particular comparison also delivers no clear meaning to the engagement’s audience.
Harry and Prince William’s climate change plans have been compared with each other, with Prince William’s initiative ‘Earthshot’ dubbed the better of the two.
‘Earthshot’ seeks to fund five individuals, organizations, or teams that offer a solution to climate change. The initiative was launched a year ago but only has been implemented this year.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are working with many organizations despite stepping down as royals this year. The two continue to be the patrons of the Queen’s Royal Foundation.
