Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made sure that their new life in California will be under wraps as they live as ‘private citizens.’ As part of the reason for their exit from the British Royal Firm, protecting their son Archie Harrison’s privacy has been a tiered priority of the couple.
There are times when the two speak about their 17-month-old son but in very rare moments. The Sussex’s just celebrated their first Thanksgiving in America, only inviting close people to their intimate Thanksgiving dinner.
A source has shared an Archie Harrison update to People Magazine, saying that the tot is very happy and is ‘thriving’ and growing quickly.
"They are very happy. Archie is thriving and growing quickly. As a family, they spend hours outside,” the source told People.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Thanksgiving has been a small and intimate one, supposedly the Duchess of Sussex wanted it to be a big party, but due to the pandemic restrictions, the couple had to down-size their guest list.
It was reportedly only Doria Ragland, Meghan Markle’s mother, and a few close friends in attendance in the Sussex’s household, and apparently, the Duchess herself prepared a home cooked meal for everyone.
In the next month, the Sussex family will be celebrating Christmas for the first time in America, after their exit from the Royal firm. The pair’s last Christmas holiday was spent in Canada in a private estate in Vancouver.
Last 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, together with other royal members, celebrated the Christmas festivities in Sandringham Palace, which is a tradition practiced by the firm for over three decades.
The royal pair’s eventual plan to exit the Royal firm was known after they declined the Queen’s invitation last 2019.
With a new home and a new life in the US, the pair are said to be excited about the coming holidays and are looking forward to decorating their tree and home. Meghan Markle is rumored to want to make their own family traditions for the holidays.
As for the question of whether the couple will be releasing a family portrait card this coming Christmas, it is unsure yet.
Last year, the pair was blasted after releasing an e-card wherein Archie Harrison took center stage crawling in front of the camera with his parents right behind him laughing and a lit up Christmas tree in the background. The photo was accused of being photoshopped, which made fans unhappy.
