The Kardashian-Jenner family paid no heed to the expert advice of not having large gatherings to restrict the spread of the coronavirus and had a family gathering for Thanksgiving. Most of the influential family members gathered at Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home for Thanksgiving and decided to share photos of their lavish celebration with their social media followers.
Aside from being involved in controversies and high profile relationships, the Kardashian-Jenner family is no stranger to receiving social media criticism. After sharing photos of their lavish Thanksgiving gathering on Instagram, they received backlash, similar to their previous trips, including Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday island trip and Kendall Jenner's Halloween party and 25th West Hollywood birthday celebration.
The table appeared to be set for fourteen people, BuzzFeed pointed out. The instructions listed on the California Department of Public Health's website restrict gatherings with over three households. Even the CDC warned people of not spending the holiday together with separate households.
The website recommends Americans avoid having gatherings with family and friends who do not live with them since such gatherings can increase the chances of contracting or spreading the coronavirus. For those who decided to have such gatherings, the CDC says wearing masks and staying six feet apart from those who do not live with you would help restrict the virus's spread.
According to Elle, the Kardashian-Jenners appeared to participate in their Thanksgiving gathering without wearing masks and even interacted freely with each other. Khloe Kardashian even gave fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians a glimpse of her holiday with sisters Kylie, Kendall, Kourtney, and momager Kris Jenner.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the Good American founder showed her fans the Oreo cupcakes she made. She also gave them a glimpse of monkey bread she made with a recipe from Kim Zolciak-Biermann.
While Kim seemed to be absent from the Thanksgiving gathering, Khloe shared clips of her daughter, True, 2, playing with cousins Stormi, also 2. The staff at the get-together seemed to be wearing masks.
In one of her posts, Khloe showed off her and Kylie's Christmas-themed manicures. The Kylie Skins founder posted a picture of their matching nails to her Instagram account.
