Taylor Swift has a valid excuse to raise a toast. After all, she just received six Grammy awards nominations in 2020. Her latest record, Folklore, has also been nominated for the Album of the Year.
Swift celebrated the good news with some red wine this Tuesday. Incidentally, the songstress has already bagged 10 Grammy awards in the past. Additionally, she has won Album of the Year a couple of times.
She received it for the first time for her 2009 album Fearless. She again got it for her album titled 1989 in 2015. It was shocking, though, when her album Lover was not nominated in the same category last year. So, undoubtedly, this year’s nominations would be special for Swift.
The 30-year-old singer got six Grammy nominations, and she decided to celebrate the good news on her Instagram page. She shared a photo of herself on Zoom, where she was seen raising a toast with Jack Antonoff, her producer, among others.
Incidentally, Taylor Swift's album Folklore was released amid the COVID-19 lockdown, and so it has a special significance. The music album was produced without the artists physically meeting one another.
The team had the good fortune to finally come face to face so that they could perform the songs on the album. Taylor mentioned on her social media account that she is all set to come up with a film to showcase the performance of the artists. They will also discuss the album in the same film, according to Republic World.
The surprise album is her eighth and was released in July. According to Hollywood Life, it has been nominated in various other categories, including the Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.
The nominations are another feather in her cap as she recently bagged the Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards this year. She gave a touching acceptance speech while accepting her award and said how much she loved her fans.
Meanwhile, the songstress took to her Twitter handle and captioned an enigmatic post with the words: “not a lot going on at the moment.” She had used the same caption on another post but on Instagram previously.
Her fans were not aware that she was then recording her album Folklore, and then the rest was history. Many of Taylor Swift’s fans have a theory that her recent post teases a music video for her Folklore track Exile. Incidentally, she had recorded this track with Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon.
