Nicole Kidman is notorious for being a very private person, especially when it comes to her family and marriage with country singer Keith Urban. But the ‘Big Little Lies’ actress gave a glimpse of her Nashville life in a rare but personal interview.
The actress shares that she and her family have been struggling ‘quite a lot’ during the coronavirus pandemic and how loneliness greatly affects her and her children.
She reveals to Glamour UK that her kids travel all the time and are used to online learning, but the social distancing has been very difficult for them.
The ‘Moulin Rouge’ has four children, two of them being with ex-husband Tom Cruise, while the other two are with husband Keith Urban.
Nicole also made a rare statement on her life in Sydney and her own parents' struggles when they moved to America.
She says that when they just started living in the US, they had close to nothing and that her parents had to go to the Salvation Army and get a donated mattress.
“I've always been aware of privilege because both my parents came from nothing,” she confessed. When we moved to America, we had nothing. My parents had to go to the Salvation Army and get a donated mattress, which we all slept on,” The actress revealed.
Speaking about her family, the actress also opened up about the man she married and how grateful she is for Keith Urban.
She explained that Urban did not come from a life of money, instead he is a self-made man, and how he lived in a shed that subsequently burned down. Moreover, she talks about how the quarantine has affected Keith’s creativity and how it ‘paralyzed’ it.
The actress also spoke about how lucky she is to come home to Urban and that being with him is a very soothing and comfortable experience.
Both Keith and Nicole are Australian, and they are now based in Nashville, Tennessee, away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
Despite Nicole’s job being based heavily in Los Angeles, she opens up about how much she loves living in Nashville.
Currently, the award-winning actress is working with British actor Hugh Grant on HBO's original series ‘The Undoing.’
She is also filming a brand new series based on the Australian novel ‘Nine Perfect Strangers.’ The actress continued to wow with her beauty and grace in the newest Glamour UK Magazine issue.
