Two of Canada's finest singers, Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes, took their spot in the opening part of the recently concluded 2020 American Music Awards at Los Angeles, California.
Justin Bieber showcases hit songs for a medley performance
The 26-year-old Canadian-born pop star, Justin, was welcomed back by his American Music Awards family on the Sunday night of Nov. 22. The 2020 American Music Awards, hailing from Los Angeles, California's Microsoft Theater.
The Baby singer, who last performed at the AMAs in 2016, made his superb comeback at the event with his new song called Lonely, gracing his solo performance stage. The only company Justin had is his reflection in the mirrors that surrounds the stage on various sides.

According to Hollywood Life, the performance's mood was then very rapid to change, from the mirror-full stage to a purple-lit getup. The performance then transitioned from Lonely to Holy, signaling for the dance team to enter. The backup dancers all wore their respective face masks.
From Lonely to Holy, then the stage paved the way for Justin and fellow Canadian 22-year-old singer, Shawn Mendes, per Billboard. The two singers then performed their new song, Monster, while the Stitches singer plays the guitar.
With Monster on the stage with Justin and Shawn, the platform's outfit turned into a forest, with significant inspiration from the vampire movie Twilight. The outfits of the two Canadian heartthrobs were reminiscent of the people in Forks, the town where Bella and Edward's characters met.
Before the show-stopping performance of Justin, as reported by US Weekly, Dick Clark production and ABC were the ones who announced the singer's appearance at the show. The firms then took social media to tease Beliebers from across the globe.
"The #AMAs were feeling a little lonely… so we invited @justinbieber to perform," the Twitter handle of American Music Award wrote.
