The boy band who became an instant phenomenon, locally and overseas, BTS, swept fans off their feet. The band appeared at the recently concluded awarding ceremony of the 2020 American Music Awards.
BTS explosively sang Dynamite alongside new single Life Goes On
The world's most phenomenal K-pop group continues to mesmerize ARMYS from across the globe as the Big Hit Entertainment-managed boy band performed for the second time at the recently concluded 2020 American Music Awards.
With that said, the K-pop septet's performance marks the band's first Life Goes On showcase, fresh from its newest Korean-language album entitled BE.
The 2020 American Music Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on the night of Sunday, Nov. 22. Moreover, the mesmerizing track was dropped by BTS on Nov. 20 (Friday), in the simultaneous release of BE.
The album was curated by RM, Suga, J-hope, V, Jimin, Jin, and Jungkook as a collection of records aiming to comfort and encourage its listeners from the agitating effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
BTS kicked off its sophisticated and elegant performance with Life Goes On, hailing from the other side of the world. The band graced that AMAs stage at Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Stadium, the same venue the band was supposed to commence its Map of the Soul world tour back in April.
While BTS performed Life Goes On, the stadium's empty seats were filled up by ARMY bombs, lighting the whole stadium with purple. As the entire place lit up purple, the performance becomes more encouraging, that amid the coronavirus pandemic, life continues to go on.
The second performance of BTS is for Dynamite, as per NME. The band members then changed their outfits into the song's colorful theme, as the neon-lit logo of BTS appeared behind them. Moreover, the performance included fireworks, making it very sophisticated.
BTS takes home two awards
According to Billboard, the chart-topping K-pop group bagged two awards from the AMAs. BTS won the trophy for the coveted Favorite Dup or Group – Pop/Rock and Favorite Social Artist. The K-pop septet cross swords against famous names in the music industry, including Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Maroon 5, and more.
Fans were joyed to see Suga in the performances, but the rapper was absent during BTS's video message as they won their awards.
Additionally, BTS went straight to ABC's Good Morning America the morning after, per Consequence of Sound, as they continue the festivities for BE.
