Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland and not the royal family will reportedly be a positive influence on 11-month-old Archie
According to Closer Weekly, the 63-year-old is a spiritual and calm woman who is also comfortable in her own skin. As a yoga instructor, Markle’s mom is also known to be disciplined.
“As she raised Meghan to stand strong in her beliefs, Doria is thrilled that Archie, too, will be able to grow up having the freedom to make his own decisions in life, which would not have been possible if Harry and Meghan had stayed in the royal family. She feels that it’s healthier for Archie to have a normal upbringing,” the source said.
The source also said that Ragland is over the moon to have Archie close to her in Los Angeles. Prince Harry and Markle moved to the United States last month.
According to the source, Ragland is looking forward to spending time with her grandson and she also wants to get to know Archie better after the coronavirus pandemic.
For now, Markle calls her mom on FaceTime, and she also sees to it that Ragland gets to see Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been staying at home during the coronavirus outbreak.
Another source claimed that the couple is very particular with cleanliness especially right now. Every time they get home from work, they see to it that they disinfect properly.
Markle allegedly washes her hands every 15 minutes and she reminds Prince Harry to also wash his hands whenever he forgets to do so.
Earlier this month, another source talked about Ragland during an interview with Closer Weekly. They said that Markle’s mom supported her decision to quit the royal family.
“She hated seeing her daughter so unsettled in the U.K. and wants her to be happy. Meghan called Doria as soon as her royal duties were over to let her know how she got on,” the source said.
The yoga instructor is allegedly aware of the fact that her daughter’s life had been miserable in London. That’s why Markle told her mom about her plans, she was on board 100 percent.
However, another insider previously told Us Weekly that Markle is not very close to her mom. In fact, the two just seemingly became close after the Duchess of Sussex joined the royal family.
Ragland was the only member of Markle’s family that attended her royal wedding to Prince Harry almost two years ago.
