Weighing in at 118 kgs, Dwayne Johnson is a 1.96 m, which translates to 6 feet, 5 inches tall action movie star, making him one of Hollywood's most imposingly big guys. This was recently observed as the Jumanji actor struggled to fit into Porsche’s first electric car, dubbed the Taycan while filming for his latest movie.
The former WWE Superstar took to his Instagram account earlier this week to share a series of photos as he wrapped up filming for Netflix's much-awaited project Red Notice. One of the aforesaid posts was dedicated to his co-stars, including Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, along with writer/director Rawson Thurber, and another post dedicated to the entire production crew.
However, the post that seemed to grab everyone's attention was where Johnson shared a snapshot from filming a movie scene, where he was struggling to get his huge frame into a tiny sports car, the Porsche Taycan. He explained the entire incident in the caption section of the snap, noting that he unintentionally made a mess of a well-written chase sequence for the impending movie.
Johnson, 48, also revealed that the filmmakers had to shell out a lot of money and invest a lot of time to buy and ship the car to America. Much to their chagrin, he said they were left with no choice but to change the sequence during shooting, RepublicWorld reported.
The budget for Red Notice is $257 million, making it the biggest movie Netflix has undertaken yet. Slated to be released next year, the action drama became a tragi-comedy as soon as they started filming an important sequence scene - a car chase.
According to the script, Johnson had to slip into the Porsche Taycan and drive it away at full speed. Hollywood's go-to action star could not slip his massive frame into the car initially, but thanks to Hollywood magic, they managed to make it look as though he could, Drive reported.
Much to Johnson's chagrin, the attempt had to be several times since the scene was shot from multiple angles. Thurber said they had to come up with creative ways to make sure that they got the shot. Johnson previously shared a story of how he could not get into a GTA Spano and a Ferrari LaFerrari while filming for his TV series, Ballers.
