Princess Beatrice could shockingly become the next queen of the United Kingdom if an unfortunate will take place.
During a recent discussion, one royal fan asked royal expert Camilla Tominey a hypothetical question about the order of the succession.
The royal fan asked what would happen to the royal family if Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children all die in a plane or helicopter crash.
Since Prince William is second in line to the throne, he is expected to rule the British monarchy after Prince Charles passes away. But if he passes away in an accident while he’s king, the order of succession will change drastically.
Tominey said that when this happens, Prince Harry will become the heir to the throne. But following his recent decision to quit The Firm, it’s unlikely for him to accept such a huge and important role.
If Prince Harry refuses to lead the monarchy, the role will be passed on to Prince Charles’ younger brother, Prince Andrew.
However, Tominey also thinks that the Duke of York won’t accept the role because of previous allegations that he sexually abused underage girls.
In this regard, Prince Andrew’s successor is Princess Beatrice. And Tominey said that even though it’s unlikely, she will be styled as Queen Beatrice I if an unfortunate incident happens and Prince Andrew and Prince Harry refused to rule the monarchy.
Meanwhile, there have always been fears about the heirs to the throne dying that’s why they’ve been banned from traveling in one plane or helicopter together.
Express previously said that Prince Charles and Prince William can’t travel on the plane together to avoid the royal family lineage from getting affected in the event of a crash.
However, it is common knowledge that Prince William regularly travels by plane with his son, Prince George. The 7-year-old is third in line to the throne.
A royal insider said that the queen still has the final say on the matter. And she has granted Prince William permission to travel with his young son whenever necessary.
Royal expert Marlene Koenig also said that Prince Charles once asked his mom’s permission to travel with Prince William and Prince Harry on the plane to Scotland together. And Her Majesty granted his request.
In related news, there are also claims that Middleton would’ve been given a key role in the monarchy if her husband, Prince William passed away from COVID-19. The Duke of Cambridge tested positive for the illness in April.
