Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Christmas plans have been at the center of speculations among royal fans and critics alike.
Throughout the past couple of weeks, tabloids have been claiming that Markle has banned Prince Harry from returning home for the holidays.
But OK! magazine recently claimed otherwise. The tabloid said that the Duchess of Sussex gave Prince Harry her blessing to return to the United Kingdom so that he could be with the royal family on Christmas Day.
However, the recent lockdown in the United Kingdom forced Markle to change her mind. Since there are ongoing health fears in the country, the Suits alum, allegedly, told her husband that there’s no way he would allow him to go back home.
Markle’s decision, allegedly, upset Prince Harry because he misses his entire family. And he was already looking forward to all the activities he would get to enjoy when he’s in the United Kingdom.
For instance, the tabloid claimed that the members of the royal family play soccer on Christmas Day, and they also dress up for their formal dinner. Before the day ends, the royal family exchange gag gifts.
As such, Markle, allegedly, wants to make it up to her husband, so she decided to bring in some of Prince Harry’s favorite traditions to Los Angeles. The former Hollywood star is, allegedly, thinking about giving Prince Harry a gag gift.
And the couple will also dress up for the Christmas dinner party that Markle is organizing with her mom, Doria Ragland, and their friends, George and Amal Clooney.
A source for the tabloid claimed that Ragland is also planning on spoiling Prince Harry on Christmas Day because he doesn’t have family in the United States.
However, the tabloid’s claims couldn’t be farther from the truth. After all, Markle and Prince Harry never had any plans to return to the United Kingdom for the holidays.
They will be flying back home sometime in October 2021 to attend Markle’s court hearing against Mail on Sunday.
The royal family doesn’t also play soccer on Christmas Day. And while it is true that they give each other gag gifts, they don’t normally exchange presents on Christmas Day.
According to the Royal UK, the royal family lay out their presents on Christmas Eve. And they exchange presents during tea time.
On Christmas Day, the royal family heads out to attend a church service at St. Mary Magdalene in Queen Elizabeth’s estate, Sandringham.
