Apparently, the couple was warned by environmentalists about having more than two children, citing that it is not ‘sustainable.’
On a 2017 summer tour to Poland and Germany, the Duchess of Cambridge was, reportedly, gifted a baby toy in Warsaw, Poland. At that time, their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were four and two respectively.
According to those who were present in the visit, Kate was very fond of the toy and told Prince William about having more babies.
After this news was run, the organization ‘Having Kids’ urged Kate and Prince Willaim to think twice about expanding their family.
Executive Director President Anne Green Carter Dillard of Having Kids wrote in an open letter saying, ‘Your discussion of having a larger family raises compelling issues of sustainability and equity. Large families are not sustainable.”
Two months later, on Sept. 17, the couple announced Kate’s third pregnancy, which many Britons rejoiced.
News of the couple thinking about adding another bundle of joy to their growing family is unlikely. With the plans of Prince Charles slimming down the working members of the royal family, both Prince William and Kate are easing up on creating more heirs.
Unlike his brother, Prince Harry has explicitly expressed the number of children he wants. The Prince once said during an interview that two children are enough.
Prince Harry has one child, Archie Harrison who is currently without any title after it was decided by him and Meghan Markle to do so.
