After one year of Justin Bieber's popular track 10,000 Hours released, the pop duo Dan + Shay collaborated with the singer at the CMA Awards on Nov. 11. The trio performed the song together for the first time on stage live.
The track was originally dropped in October 2019, which encapsulates perfect love while Mooney and Bieber's harmonies made people fall in love again. The performance was done after a couple of hours when the news broke about many artists not dropped from the event because they or their family members have been tested positive for coronavirus.
Due to safety concerns, the award organizers immediately dropped all the performers who reported the test results, as per Vulture. However, the performance of 10,000 Hours was special as the original music video was shot after Bieber got into wedlock with his wife, Hailey Rhode Bieber, on Sept. 30 for the second time.
The music video featured the newly married couple flaunting their love for each other while the romantic music and lyrics go on in the background. The couple has been making headlines recently for unfollowing Carl Lentz, who was their former spiritual advisor and pastor.
Lentz was fired last week from Hillsong Church and after having an extra-marital affair as per The Sun, Bieber allowed him to stay in his apartment in New York City. However, it seems even the 26-year-old pop star had disowned the former friend due to the tense conversation he had with his wife, Laura, at Bieber's apartment.
Although the couple had unfollowed the pastor one after the other, fans noted that Hailey stopped following him a couple of days ago while Bieber stopped following him on Nov. 11. Given that, it seems Lentz is going to have a hard time in the future.
However, Bieber had finally made his debut on CMA and also lit up the Hollywood Bowl in purple and blue. The pop star was dressed casually in a navy t-shirt, green beanie, and black pants. Before Bieber's performance was introduced, the co-host Darius Rucker noted that 10,000 hours is one of the most-streamed tracks.
"Whatever these next performers were practicing for 10,000 hours, it's clearly working because this song is one of the most-streamed hits in history," he added. Another co-host, Reba McIntire, also joked about the performance and said that it took more than 10,000 hours to get the trio's together on stage. The singer recalled that the song was played during his wedding ceremony.
