Alex Trebek's better half, Jean Currivan Trebek, recently made a tragic loss when she lost her husband and one of the longest-running hosts in the history of television. However, it seems there are some silver linings that fans are helping her to look at.
Currivan took Instagram to share some fond memories of her husband. The widow shared a romantic picture from their past, the day they got into wedlock back in 1990. The ceremony pictures captured the perfect moment when the late host could be seen sliding a ring into his bride's finger and looking at her.
She captioned the picture by thanking each and everyone for showing compassion and generosity through the messages after the Jeopardy! Host passed away at the age of 80. The couple looked perfect in the photo as the television personality donned a white tuxedo and his bride looked stunning in her wedding gown.
Currivan noted that the messages flooded touched her heart and she thanked everyone again on behalf of her entire family. She posted this message three days after the Canadian-American game show host died after struggling with pancreatic cancer.
In an interview, Jeopardy's executive producer Mike Richards spoke about the final days of the host. The producer said that Trebek's last day was quite nice as he spent time with his family and wife. There were laughs around him and he had a peaceful day. Eventually, he went to bed and slept.
Richards further praised the host for his perfection and said that if anyone knows Trebek, then they know how perfect he is with everything. Even the last day of his life was spent perfectly. He explained how his family was out of town, but they all returned and spent the last day with him.
It seemed that the host knew it is his time. However, he was absolutely at peace. Many celebrities are sharing the impact Trebek made on their life, including CBS Television Distribution's President, Steve LoCascio. He acknowledged that it is a tremendous loss that can't be described in words.
Padma Lakshmi also took Twitter to share her “nerdiness.” She revealed that growing up, she used to watch Trebek's show and felt valuable for being a nerd. The 50-year-old author also admitted that she learned a lot from the show and it was a nightly pleasure for her entire family. Other television hosts such as Jimmy Kimmel and Ryan Seacrest also paid tribute.
