Hunky actor Jason Momoa shares, in his newest interview with InStyle Magazine, regarding his life in the spotlight. The Game of Thrones actor dropped some heavy confessions during the interview and shoot including his hard life after his stint with the HBO series.
According to Momoa, his life changed drastically after his character Khal Drogo on HBO’s Game of Thrones was killed in the first season.
He confessed that he had a tough time and that he was broke and almost left his family starving from being low on money.
“I mean we were starving after Game of Thrones. It was very challenging when you have babies and you are completely in debt,” the actor confessed to InStyle.
The next few years, after his 10-episode appearance on Game of Thrones, the actor had a hard time finding acting jobs. Fortunately, he hit the jackpot when he was recruited to play DC hero Aquaman.
This was a big turn around for the actor as it meant a mega-deal with DC and multiple movies where he will be the main character.
Jason Momoa also revealed his true feeling about the upcoming movie titled Dune, where he plays a major character. He expressed his disbelief at being a part of such a historic line-up.
Mamoa boasts of having his name on the trailer beside A-listers Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem.
Jason Momoa has come a long way from playing short-lived characters on TV shows to having his own movie.
The actor is married to Lisa Bonet, who is also an actress and they have two kids together. Buzzfeed reported Mamoa’s claims of being broke and starving but it was welcomed with criticism.
Many of the readers of Buzzfeed do not believe that Momoa was broke, claiming that his 25-year career as an actor has given him an ample amount of money in the bank.
Momoa said he is grateful for the opportunities that have come his way. He reveals that he is fully booked until 2024, and is more than happy to know that he can now provide a good life for his family.
