Meghan Markle recently made headlines after a tabloid claimed that she’s pregnant and hiding in Mexico.
Earlier this week, New Idea claimed that Markle is expecting baby number two. And since the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t want the world to know about her pregnancy, she decided to fly to Mexico with her 1-year-old son, Archie.
Prince Harry didn’t join Markle on her trip because of his alleged visa problems. And a source claimed that Prince Harry and Markle aren’t on good terms because they recently fought ahead of the US elections.
The tabloid even published a photo of a pregnant Markle wearing a maternity dress, hat, and shades alongside their dubious story. This way, readers will be convinced that the Duchess of Sussex went on a trip to Mexico with her 1-year-old son.
However, Gossip Cop pointed out the fact that the photo wasn’t taken recently. In fact, it was a throwback snap from the time when Markle Italy for their family trip.
The rumor-debunking site also pointed out that Markle isn’t wearing a face mask in the photo. And since she’s always wearing a face mask when out in public due to COVID-19, this proves that the photo wasn’t taken recently.
Gossip Cop also dubbed the tabloid’s claims as another one of their bait and switch stories about Prince Harry and Markle. First, there is no indication that the Suits alum is pregnant.
Second, there’s also no proof that Prince Harry and Markle got into a fight ahead of the elections.
Weeks ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines about their comments regarding the presidential elections. However, there was no indication that they fought afterward.
Back then, Prince Harry encouraged Americans to vote. And he also told Americans to avoid voting for someone that promotes hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity.
Even though the Duke of Sussex didn’t mention Donald Trump’s names, experts were convinced that his disparaging comments were directed at the POTUS.
Shortly after, the palace released a statement saying that Prince Harry’s comments were personal and do not reflect their stand on the US elections.
During his press briefing, the president reacted to Prince Harry and Markle’s comments by saying that he’s not a fan of Markle. The POTUS also said that he’s wishing Prince Harry a lot of luck because he’s going to need it.
This isn’t the first time that Trump talked about Markle. Years ago, the Suits alum called the POTUS misogynistic. And Trump fired back by calling Prince Harry’s wife nasty.
