Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker have been in wedlock for over 23 years now and it seems they still can't stop gushing over one another. The 58-year-old actor recently appeared on SiriusXM show Quarantined With Bruce, where he revealed that the love between him and his wife, Parker is still the same.
Broderick believes that Parker is not just his wife but also his best friend. The actor praised his wife while also felt grateful for the life they both have created together over the decades. However, the Ferris Bueller's Day Off star admitted that he is still not sure about what is the secret behind a successful marriage but definitely, the couple has figured out a way that works in their favor.
This year, the couple celebrated their 23rd marriage anniversary and Broderick revealed insight into his relationship to host Bruce Bozzi. When the host asked about the secret, the actor gave the cliché answer to having good communication and his wife is "best friend."
Although he immediately laughed off and said that even he doesn't know the secret. The actor disclosed that he feels grateful having her in his life and he loves her. Moreover, the actor said that he couldn't even believe that it has been over two decades and acknowledged the amazing feeling.
Broderick noted that his elder son, James Wilkie Broderick, turned 18-year-old, which seems surprising to him. It is worth noting that the Girls Just Want to Have Fun star and the Broderick has never worked together on any project.
The couple has been planning to perform together on stage for the first time in Plaza Suite by Neil Simon in the revival play. Although due to the ongoing pandemic and amid lockdown across the country, the play got pushed forward.
The actor said that it is unbelievable to him that he had never worked with his wife before considering how talented she is. Broderick praised his wife's comedic talent and said that working with her during the rehearsals felt "so good."
"I was just reminded of how funny and smart and what a great comic actor she is," Broderick gushed over his 55-year-old wife as he worked with her for the first time on stage. The actor recalled that they dated for half a decade before getting married in 1997 while they invited 100 friends at their wedding in New York City. The couple shares three children together.
