Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are, allegedly, planning to go all-out on Christmas Day.
According to Woman UK, the couple’s celebration in Santa Barbara will be very different from the royal family’s celebration in Sandringham.
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and the senior members of the royal family will, reportedly, eat turkey. Prince Harry and Markle, on the other hand, will be serving a buffet of vegan foods.
A source told the magazine that there might also be turkey for Prince Harry on Christmas Day if he would insist on having a slice or two. Otherwise, the Sussexes will enjoy an all-vegan meal like not roast, tofu turkey, fake bacon, and roasted vegetables.
Since Prince Harry and Markle also care about the planet, their Christmas decorations will all be eco-friendly. The couple will, allegedly, buy a traditional tree that they can plant in the garden afterward.
It is also possible for Prince Harry and Markle to choose a tree that's biodegradable so it won't be harmful to the environment. The couple also wants to avoid metal and plastic decorations at all costs.
Christmas Day in Sandringham is also expected to be filled with formalities because this has been the practice for years. The royal family usually starts their celebration with a visit to the church of St. Mary Magdalene.
Prince Harry and Markle, on the other hand, will keep their Christmas celebrations as low-key as possible. They will most likely walk their dogs on the beach and get coffee from Starbucks.
Instead of joining the Boxing Day celebrations in the United Kingdom, the couple will spend their day playing board games and watching TV with family and friends.
Prince Harry and Markle will most likely not gift each other and their son with lavish gifts. The source said that the Duke of Sussex would most likely go down the thoughtful and humorous route when it comes to his presents for his wife and son.
As such, Archie’s Christmas stockings will be modest and it’s unlikely for the 1-year-old to have chocolate Advent calendars. Rather, Archie will receive books, toys, sugar-free snacks, and lots of attention from his parents.
However, the claims made by the source don’t seem to be accurate. After all, it was previously revealed that the royal family also serves a buffet on Christmas Day. The royal family also has a Christmas brunch, where they serve shrimp and lobster.
This will also be Prince Harry and Markle’s first Christmas in Santa Barbara. So, it’s unlikely for a magazine to already know what they’ll do.
