Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud won’t, allegedly, last very long if Princess Diana was still alive.
While speaking with New Idea, royal author Robert Lacey said that the Princess of Wales would’ve been able to stop the bickering between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Lacey also said that if Princess Diana was still around to mentor the boys, they wouldn’t have continued with their bickering. After all, Prince William and Prince Harry developed an even closer bond after their parents divorced.
And the siblings became even closer to each other after Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom passed away. By the looks of it, the Princess of Wales is what binds the siblings to each other all these years.
Prior to her death, Princess Diana, reportedly, told royal butler Paul Burrell that she hopes that her sons will be able to grow the seeds that she planted in them.
According to Burrell, Princess Diana wrote a letter to Prince William and Prince Harry telling them that she loves them. And the former royal butler released the letter shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their Megxit earlier this year.
In the book Battle of Brothers, Lacey also said that he thinks Princess Diana would be heartbroken to know about her sons’ feud. And Prince William and Prince Harry, reportedly, learned very different things from the late royal.
The Duke of Cambridge learned about the importance of duty. Prince Harry, on the other hand, learned about the importance of love. After all, he was a product of a loveless marriage between his parents.
Meanwhile, Princess Diana also made headlines this week amid claims that her dying wish was for Prince William to succeed Queen Elizabeth and not Prince Charles.
In the documentary Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview, Sir Max Hastings said that Princess Diana always wanted Prince William to become king. And the Princess of Wales didn’t also think that Prince Charles was fit for the role.
According to In Touch Weekly, hearing the statements in the documentary must have been difficult for Prince William because it reminded him of Princess Diana’s interview in 1995.
But the Duke of Cambridge still knows that Princess Diana has his best interests to heart. That’s why he’s learned to view her statements objectively.
However, Prince William hasn’t publicly commented on the documentary. So, it’s unclear if he has even watched it.
