It is hard to imagine that the royal pair Prince William and Kate Middleton could have never been possible. They are considered as the epitome of royalty and their happy family has been a pleasant addition to the royal folds.
But like any other couple, both Prince William and Kate had their ups and downs. In the early years of their relationship, the pair had several falling outs.
In the early years of their relationship, the couple had a major break from their relationship. It was rumored that Prince William, in their break, fell very much smitten with another woman.
The said woman is non-other than aristocrat Isabella Althorpe. The Prince was said to have fallen in love with Isabell in a major way and pursued the young noble thoroughly over the summer.
Unfortunately, despite William's royal status, Isabell ended up turning down the advances of the future King of England.
According to reports back then, Isabella knew the repercussions of dating Prince William. The young aristocrat was studying in London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and had dreams of becoming a stage actress, which she did after she graduated in 2005.
Althorpe reportedly believed that if she was to date William, her dreams will all go down the drain. The beautiful and successful Isabella explained that she had her own goals in life.
"[Isabella] is a name in her own right and on her way to becoming hugely successful," royal expert Katie Nicholl said in her book William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls.
Not long after, Prince William and Kate Middleton had a reconciliation but news of William and Isabella’s link reached her ears.
Sources shared that Kate was angry with the news and only got back together with William under one condition, that the Prince cut off all contact with the noblewoman.
William, of course, did what he was told and soon after, he and Kate were engaged and married. Isabella Althorpe also got married two years after the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The stage actress ended up marrying Sam Branson, a filmmaker and former model, son of business tycoon Sir Richard Branson. They have two children together.
Prince William and Kate Middleton share three children of their own, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The royal pair have been married for almost ten years now and are very happy in their married life.
