According to a royal expert, Queen Elizabeth II regards Prince Harry, her grandson, as a “prodigal son”. The monarch is allegedly ready to “welcome him back with open arms.”
Last month Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties. They desired to lead a private life with Archie Harrison, their son in Los Angeles, California.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made this shocking revelation in January this year. The monarch had then released a statement where she expressed grief over their decision. However, she mentioned that "Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family."
Ingrid Seward, Majesty magazine’s editor-in-chief recently came on Sky News and mentioned that queen Elizabeth is “supportive of her grandson.” Seward added that she looks at the Duke of Sussex “like the prodigal son.”
The Queen perhaps feels that Harry will return home. The expert further says: “she will welcome him home with open arms.”
Seward discussed the role of the monarch as Head of the Church of England. The expert feels that the Queen has always had “deep religious beliefs”. Also, one of the major teachings in Christianity is forgiveness.
Having said so, the royal expert has also claimed that Queen Elizabeth will never be critical about her family members openly. While the Queen could be very sad about it privately, she will never make her feeling public.
She would not even discuss it with her family. At present, Queen Elizabeth II is self-isolating with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle. She turned 94 earlier this week, The Sun reports.
Meanwhile, Daily Express had reported some time ago that Megxit looks more like a trial separation instead of a hard divorce between Prince Harry and Buckingham Palace.
Incidentally, Buckingham palace has already mentioned that there will be a transition period of 12-month for Harry and Markle. There will be a review after that to make sure that the arrangement is acceptable for all parties.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now living in the United States of America, it is expected that the couple will be regularly asked to join the major family events in the United Kingdom.
However, there has been a tell-tale sign that her Majesty is hopeful about her grandson’s return. She did a U-turn on the alleged decision to strip Harry from all his honorary military ranks.
Buckingham Palace had declared that Prince Harry will continue to retain all his military titles. However, he will be barred from performing any kind of official duty related to these ranks or use these military positions.
