Hocus Pocus cast members reunited once again! Yes, the witchy sisters are back together and this time, they want to haunt the young people to ensure that they run towards the voting polls. The original 1993 movie was re-released during the pandemic and turned out to the biggest hit in the last month.
The dark family comedy made headlines when it crossed box-office collections of the re-released movies such as The Empire Strikes Back and Jurassic Park. Fans couldn't stop praising the cult classic and celebrated after learning that the movie's sequel is under development process.
However, the fans had another reason to celebrate as the cast members reunited after almost three decades for the first time. Kathy Najimy, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Bette Midler portrayed the lead characters in the horror-comedy and recently, they appeared together virtually through Instagram.
The Hocus Pocus sisters shared a message to the voters during their reunion and urged their fans and followers to step out of their houses and vote. Najimy, who portrayed Mary Sanderson's character, said that she checked her ballot to keep a check if everyone is voting or not.
The 63-year-old actress further explained the process couldn't be easier as she just texted on 26797 with VOTER and she was all set to go! Parker, who played Sarah Sanderson, also encouraged young fans to vote while noting that last time young voices weren't heard and this is the time to ensure that they reach the polls.
The 55-year-old actress continued explaining that this election is a "big deal," as many young people were disenfranchised during the previous election. At the same time, she said that no matter what happened last time that opt youth to sit out, this time, they should elect the candidate who will help them closer to the destination.
Midler teased Parker during the conversation and said that she doesn't think there is much they can do in it. After the tease, all three actresses started to chant a spell-like they did in the Halloween film. However, this time they tried their spell to work in favor of youth voting rather than getting the soul out of children.
A couple of days ago, Midler posted a picture on Instagram that revealed the sequel of Hocus Pocus in process. They also announced an upcoming event, In Search of The Sanderson Sisters, A Hocus Pocus Halloween Takeover, that will be held on Oct. 31.
