Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ has gathered major praise from the very first time it was released. Now the show is in its fourth season and has tackled several issues that have happened in the royal world.
The fourth season will be showing the unfolding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage up to their bitter divorce in 1996.
Already, previews and teaser photos of the show have sent so much excitement and fans are waiting for the release of ‘The Crown’ on Netflix’s platform.
But there have been serious questions of whether ‘The Crown’ will tackle Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal drama in the upcoming seasons.
Unfortunately, the creator of the show Peter Morgan told Town and Country that there is no way they will be undertaking the story of Prince Harry and ex-actress Meghan Markle.
According to Mr. Morgan, the narrative of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is not close to over and that he is glad he does not have to write it in the last two seasons of the show.
"The Meghan and Harry story is nowhere near over yet, and I’m happy that I’m never going to write it,” Morgan said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal firm has created a major rift between their faction and the faction of other royal members.
It has been rumored that other than Prince William cutting off his ties with his younger brother, the patriarch of the royal family, Prince Charles has also turned his back on Harry and Meghan Markle.
Morgan also revealed that he would be releasing two more seasons of the show, backtracking his claims that he will end ‘The Crown’ at five seasons.
Currently, the fourth season will be showing Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s relationship. It will also deal with the late Princess’s eating disorder.
There will also be the appearance of Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles' budding relationship during his marriage with Princess Diana.
When the fourth season’s plot was revealed to the public, it created some heavy scandals for the creator as the royal palace did not want Diana’s mental health problems chronicled in the show.
Peter Morgan has since claimed that Diana’s eating disorder is public knowledge and they have dealt with the depiction of the disorder as sensitively as they can.
Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ is set to be released on the streaming giant’s platform on November 15, 2020.
