The newest black and white portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex created major waves across the media world.

As their first official photo after leaving the British royal firm, people were quick to comment on the shoot details.

The most recent mystery is the ring that Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex, donned on the photo. The royals are well known to borrow jewelry from other royals of the past. As many fans have pointed it out, Meghan Markle was wearing the late Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Watch.

Fans were also quick to notice the massive ring on the Duchess’s right pinky finger. It was speculated that Meghan also wore Princess Diana’s infamous aquamarine ring.

The ring was first seen on the late Princess of Wales’s ring finger in the World Crisis Aid Event in 1996.

The aquamarine ring itself is a controversial piece as it was commissioned by Princess Diana from royal favorite jeweler company Asprey after her bitter divorce from Prince Charles.

But it has been debunked now that the pinky ring the Duchess of Sussex is wearing is from Schwartz.

The couple was said to have turned to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to create a set for diamonds they received from the middle east.

Page Six reports that they have contacted Schwarts regarding the newest diamond ring of Meghan Markle, but they have declined to comment. It is gathered that there was also a pair of diamond earrings made that go with the ring.

This is not the first time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have commissioned Schwartz to create bespoke jewelry for them.

For their first anniversary, Prince Harry had an infinity ring created for Meghan. The ring featured the birthstone of Prince Harry and their son Archie Harrison.

Schwartz also resized and reset Meghan Markle’s engagement ring.

The couple has created major controversy over their portrait as it was reported that Meghan Markle’s wardrobe cost over $500,000. The photo was taken by Hollywood's favorite photographer Matt Sayles.

Harry and Meghan Markle’s first official photo shoot in America is in celebration of their partnership with Time100 and P&G.

The couple will be hosting the Time100 Talks, which will include heavy hitters such as Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and Rapplers CEO and Editor-in-chief.

Both Megan and Harry have been alumni of Time’s 100 Most Influential People, but this will be their first time hosting the event.
