Several weeks ago, celebrity exes Bruce Willis and Demi Moore had tongues wagging after they posted a photo together with Willis’s current wife nowhere to be seen. Now, Bruce and Demi’s daughter Scout is clearing the air.
According to CNN, 28-year-old Scout Willis clarified on the “Dopey” podcast on why her divorced parents were self-isolating together. According to her, Willis’s current wife, Emma Heming Willis, was supposed to join them as well along with her two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn. However, a medical emergency prevented this from happening.
As recounted by Vulture, Scout Willis said her stepsister Evelyn had inadvertently poked her mother in the foot with a discarded hypodermic needle. Because of this, her stepmom had to stay in Los Angeles to await test results from her doctor. Eventually, arranging travel became too hectic that Emma Willis’s decided to stay in Los Angeles instead.
Scout also had nothing bad to say about her divorced parents spending the quarantine together, remarking that both Willis and Moore are nerdy and adorable. Emma Willis also doesn’t see anything wrong with the arrangement, even leaving an encouraging comment on an Instagram post showing Willis and Moore in matching pajamas.
Willis and Moore aren’t the only celebrities that have caught the public’s attention because of what they’ve been doing during the lockdown. “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint was seen with his partner Georgia Groome while shopping for supplies in a locked-down London, leading to confirmation of Groome’s pregnancy.
Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were spotted arm-in-arm in their Malibu neighborhood, a rare public display of affection from the couple, as they have kept their relationship lowkey since 2017.
Florence Pugh also caught the public’s attention, if in a less positive way. After posting a photo of her boyfriend Zach Braff, Pugh eventually had to post a video defending him from commenters who were shaming Braff and questioning the huge age gap between the couple. Pugh is 24-years old while Braff is 45-years old.
Celebrities will probably have even more time to have their lockdown lives scrutinized as coronavirus cases continue to rise all over the world. The World Health Organization has said that there are now 2,471,136 people around the world who are confirmed to have COVID-19, as of their Apr. 22 situation report. Around the world, 169,006 people have died from COVID-19.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in their Apr. 22 update, says the United States now has 802,583 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The United States has had 44,575 people die from the disease.
