Prince William Was More Rambunctious Than Prince Harry As A Kid, Author Says
Prince William and Prince Harry had very different personalities while they were growing up.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, royal author Robert Lacey explained why he decided to write a book about Prince William and Prince Harry.
He said that there is a need to look at Prince William and Prince Harry’s history and personality from when they were still kids. After all, this shaped who they are today.
The end of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage, reportedly, impacted Prince William and Prince Harry’s lives. But when they were much younger, Prince William was mora rambunctious than Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex was, reportedly, the one who loved to suck his thumb.
But after the Duke of Cambridge found out that he was going to be king, he became more serious and quiet at the age of six or seven. Prince Harry changed around this time too and he became more rebellious.
The author of Battle of Brothers also said that Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud started long before the latter started dating Meghan Markle. However, Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship escalated the feud between the royal siblings.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s goals and mindsets changed because of their roles as the heir and the spare. For Prince William, his sense of duty and loyalty to the crown and the monarchy became what’s most important for him.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, caught onto the importance of love. So, when the Duke of Sussex met Markle, he focused his entire world on the former actress and gave everything to make their relationship work.
It was Prince Harry’s love and dedication for Markle that made his relationship with Prince William falter. And after Prince William encouraged him to take things slow, Prince Harry couldn’t help but feel upset.
Meanwhile, even though Prince William and Prince Harry’s personalities couldn’t be more different from one another, Lacey said that they also shared one similarity. According to the author, the royal siblings both have a temper.
And most often than note, Prince William and Prince Harry lost their temper at each other. But between the two, the Duke of Sussex is the one that has a volatile temper.
Prince William also unleashes his temper at Prince Charles whenever the latter doesn’t do the right thing as the future king.
