Supermodel Naomi Campbell was full of praises for Princess Diana after the latter had invited her on Prince William’s 13th birthday in 1995.
The supermodel recently recalled the late Princess’ humbleness on her YouTube show titled “No Filter with Naomi.” She was chatting with fellow supermodel Cindy Crawford and reminisced about William’s birthday party.
Campbell shared how the Princess of Wales left no stones unturned to make her son’s 13th birthday celebration a special one by calling over all those bombshell fashion models whom her eldest son adored when he was growing up.
Diana invited her son’s favorite teenage fantasies Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Claudia Schiffer so that her son’s birthday bash could be celebrated in style. Campbell remembers how the Princess of Wales engaged her to surprise her teenage son.
The supermodel mentioned that she “loved Princess Diana.” She feels blessed to have known the late princess and adored her down-to-earth and humble nature. Meanwhile, even Crawford revealed what a pleasant experience it was to meet Diana. She said that William and Harry’s mother was humble and treated her like a friend.
The ex-royal chef, Darren McGrady had earlier revealed how Diana also arranged for a birthday cake that was shaped like breasts. The chef added that Diana loved to embarrass everyone “in the nicest way, in a fun way.”
Last year, Prince William narrated his version of the same birthday party in an article. The Duke of Cambridge mentioned that his late mother and Campbell shared a close friendship. The Duke admitted that he was “bright red and didn’t quite know what to say.” William further added: “. I was completely and utterly sort of awestruck.”
Campbell also spoke to ace tennis player Serena Williams recently on her channel and discussed Meghan Markle, the latter’s friend. Markle and Williams are supposed to be good friends and the supermodel asked the player about her former royal BFF, Daily Express reports
According to another report by Daily Express, Diana used to be worried that her elder son would feel uneasy in royal life. However, according to a royal expert, Kate Middleton has been a major influence in making the future king happy unlike his late mother was.
Robert Jobson, a veteran royal editor wrote in his book titled “William’s Princess’ that Middleton keeps Prince William in touch with a lifestyle, which he would have been removed from “by virtue of his HRH.” The expert feels that the Duke has found a woman in the figure of his wife who can understand “his conflicting characters.”
