A myriad of celebrations, including Thanksgiving has already been celebrated at Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s base in Oklahoma over the weekend. The "Don't Speak" singer revealed that she even baked her first pumpkin pie as part of their new Thanksgiving tradition.
Without an iota of doubt, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have a lot to be thankful for. As they gear up to return to L.A. and start filming The Voice, the couple has celebrated the holiday earlier this year. They would be seen together on the 19th season premiere of NBC's hit singing competition on Monday.
Making an appearance on Hoda & Jenna, Stefani, 51, said they had their Thanksgiving there last night because they would be switching around schedules this year. “So, we had an early Thanksgiving, so it’s just been a lot of fun being out here,” she added.
She went on to explain that they piled 14 different celebrations together last night to ensure all of them fit in. The No Doubt lead vocalist had opened up about their Thanksgiving traditions to ET back in Nov. last year. She also said that she made her first pumpkin pie ever and had a lot of fun.
Stefani said her mother usually does it every year, but this she did it and felt it she had graduated onto the next level. The "Hollaback Girl" songstress said she didn't panic and realized that it was actually a lot of fun.
Stefani and Blake have been staying with her sons and her brother's family at the country singer's rural Oklahoma property, where the baking pie is one of the things Stefani has experienced while quarantining. However, she also admitted that all home-related chores aren't as enjoyable as baking.
She recalled having to do a lot of work, including laundry, cooking, and even cleaning the toilet since they were all locked down. She said that it was a lot of work, including homeschooling her five kids in an abandoned house that Shelton had bought on land in Oklahoma. She described the property as a "hoarder's house."
Stefani said they found some old and disgusting school desks that they cleaned so that the kid can be homeschooled in the cabin. The couple visited Los Angeles to film the blind auditions for The Voice and are likely to return soon.
Responding to a question during an interview on Today regarding whether or not she plans to tie the wedding knot once the pandemic is over, the singer coyly said that they still like each other a lot but wasn't sure about getting married. She said they would see what happens.
