It looks like actor Tyler Posey isn’t done with opening up to his fans. After joining paid subscription service OnlyFans -- infamous for hosting X-rated content --, the actor opened up in a radio interview about his sobriety and sexuality.
Page Six reports that the 29-year-old actor revealed on SiriusXM’s The Jason Ellis Show that he is now “71 days sober” and that he has started loving himself again after quitting alcohol and marijuana.
In the interview, Posey explained that a “rough patch” was the final push for him to pursue sobriety. According to him, his lack of sobriety resulted in falling out with most people he knew and loved.
He also said that he was a teenager when he first started getting into drugs and slowly became an addict over the years. That said, Posey insisted that his drinking and drug-taking was restricted to just his home.
People reports that Posey also opened up about his sexuality and the sort of coming out he did back in August when he admitted to sleeping with many trans women. He said he made the decision to do so to get rid of the stigma around sexuality.
Posey said that with young people looking up to him, he wanted them to feel like they could be with whoever they wanted to be with and that they could “get with” whoever they wanted. He stressed that doing so doesn’t affect either one.
The actor also emphasized that the world is “weird” and that there isn’t anything wrong with that.
Posey opening up about his sexuality comes less than a month after he opened an OnlyFans account. He announced his decision to join the site on his Instagram account, where he posted a video of him playing guitar naked.
A statement was also released where Posey explained that OnlyFans would give him the opportunity to provide fans with a fun experience as well as unique content.
Posey’s decision to join OnlyFans was met with mostly positive reactions, with people declaring their interest in the content and describing Posey’s decision to join the service as a “mood.”
Before Posey, another celebrity that made a splash by joining OnlyFans was Bella Thorne, coincidentally Posey’s ex-girlfriend. However, Thorne’s entry into the subscription service was met with negative reactions after she charged subscribers $200 for a nude photo that turned out to be her in her underwear.
Thorne was able to earn $1 million in just 24 hours after joining OnlyFans, but her nude photo stunt ended up with OnlyFans limiting the amount creators can ask for with regards to tips. The decision ended up having a huge impact on sex workers who make a living on OnlyFans.
