Lady Gaga has been relly keeping herself busy these days. She just released information about her new album, including the artists she will be collaborating with.
Even though the release of the album will be delayed, fans are already excited, most especially one particular artist that is featuring on her album. Hollywood Life reports that fans of Kpop girl group Blackpink are elated to hear that their idol has featured on 'Chromatica'. The song that they will sing is 'Sour Candy'. Blackpink is not the only artist featuring in the highly-anticipated album from the artist. She has also contacted legendary singers Elton John and Ariana Grande to participate in her album. The album was supposed to be released in March, but it has been delayed to later this year due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, as reported by Billboard. The lead single for the album, "Stupid Love", was released on February 28. Lady Gaga knows that her fans might be disappointed with the decision to push back the release, but she asks that everyone practice kindness at this time.
Aside from preparing for the album, the Mother Monster has also been busy helping those who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Working with the WHO, she helped to organize the 'One World: Together at Home' concert. The fundraising associated with the concert happened before the event itself and on the day Lady Gaga asked the viewers to just put their wallets away and enjoy the night. She opened the concert with her own rendition of Nat King Cole's classic song 'Smile'.
More than 70 artists participated which was hosted by Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon. Some of the artists who participated included Billie Eilish, Elton John, and Paul McCartney. Aside from singing, some other popular personalities like Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama also gave messages of inspiration. The whole event was able to raise a total of $128 million dollars. The WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund will receive $55.1m, while the rest will be given to food banks, etc.
