Prince Louis Arthur Charles, the youngest child and second son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is celebrating his second birthday today, and his proud parents have released some adorable pictures of the toddler.
Wearing a blue checkered shirt and cheeky grin, the Daily Mail reports that the young royal's photographs were taken at Norfolk by none other than their mother, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate has been really interested in photography and takes most of the photos of the children that are released by the Palace.
In the pictures, the prince's hands are smudged with paint that mimics rainbow colors. Just like many children all over the UK, the prince is showing his support for the NHS heroes who face the hard task of caring for those who are sick.
Meanwhile, his parents continue to be busy with their duties despite being in quarantine at Anmer Hall. Just before they secluded themselves the couple visited an ambulance service. Shortly after that, they made calls to several hospitals to offer their condolences to those who lost their lives and also their support to the front liner workers who are battling the pandemic.
They also spent an hour with teachers and students from Casterton Primary academy who remained open in order to cater to the children of some essential workers during the pandemic. Their own three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis showed their support by cheering on the healthcare workers through their Kensington Royal Instagram account.
And most recently, Fox News reported that the couple is launching another program to offer support to the frontline workers. It will be a round-the-clock mental health service that they can avail of through call or text. This program, spearheaded by the Royal Foundation, will be in partnership with Mind, Samaritans, Shout U.K., and Hospice U.K. In a statement, Prince William says that 'Every day they confront traumatic situations at the same time as having to contend with their own worries about the risks to themselves and their families'. This idea came about when the couple was able to visit and hear real stories of how difficult it can be for the workers to battle the virus.
As of today, the virus has infected more than 2.6 million people from all over the world. The US continues to have the most number of positive cases. The UK, meanwhile, has about 130,000 cases and more than 18,000 deaths.
