Angelina Jolie is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s most talented actresses. The actress collaborates with Amnesty International for a new book. The new book is expected to educate children on how to know their rights and protest against injustice.
Angie has been a part of many brilliant films, including A Mighty heart, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Changeling. There is great news for her fans because the 45-year-old actress is eager to assist all those people who are making attempts to make this planet a better place to live in, Koimoi.com reports.
The UNHCR Special envoy will author a book through which she will enlighten kids below 18-years-old on preventing the violation of their rights. Anderson Press has acquired the book and it will come in handy for kids to counter misinformation.
She made up her mind to collaborate with the eminent British human rights lawyer Geraldine Van Bueren QC and the charity after observing how children came out on the streets and protested on issues including Black Lives Matter, environmental problems, or on other topics while being unaware of what rights they had.
Angie opened up about her collaboration and mentioned that today's youths are engaged and all set to fight. However, she feels many have been misinformed by the adults and lack awareness of their rights. They do not know how to use their rights, apply them to the circumstances and the nation they live in.
The Maleficent actress feels that there is a need to empower them with tools so that they can fight well. She, Geraldine, and Amnesty International are hopeful that these books will reach the youth to serve as a guide for them to use.
The book will inform them about their rights and come in handy for their activation and act as a reference point wherever required. The actress mentions the children's rights history in the book’s introduction and its relevance for them.
It also covers the rights, which every young person should be acquainted with and apply to their day-to-day lives. The book also aims to concentrate on subjects such as racial and gender inequality, free speech, a sustainable environment, a clean climate, as well as good health.
Thus, the book aims to be a useful tool for children and a source of motivation, no matter who reads it. Amnesty International has authored the book and Angelina Jolie and Geraldine Van Bueren QC have both served as its consultants, Daily Mail reports.
