Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s relationship was one of Hollywood's high profile marriages in the early 1990s.

Both stars were at the peak of their careers, initiating cataclysmic popularity for the pair when they announced their relationship to the world.

Contrary to the belief that Nicole was unhappy with her marriage to Tom Cruise, the ‘Big Little Lies’ actress has often spoken about the opposite.

Kidman and Cruise were married for 11 years and share two adopted children together. Despite Cruise’s scandalous admittance to being part of the Church of Scientology, Kidman stuck with him through it.

In an interview with ABC News, Kidman shared intimate details of their then divorce. Allegations of the actress begging for Tom Cruise to not leave her circulated the web, which the actress has never denied.

She also shared that going through the divorce with Cruise was awful and that no one deserves to go through such a thing.

Before their eventual separation, Kidman was pregnant with Cruise’s child but unfortunately miscarriage. Within the same year, Cruise filed for divorce from Kidman, citing irreconcilable differences.

The ‘Moulin Rouge’ alum expressed her shock when she learned that her husband of 11 years wanted to divorce her.

“One of those things where you just say, ‘I cannot believe this is happening to me.’ But I will move forward day by day,” Kidman said.

The actress also shared with Vanity Fair how madly in love she was with Tom Cruise. The actress revealed that she was head over heels in love with the ‘Mission Impossible’ Star.

Kidman expressed that she knew she wanted him and knew that she wanted his babies even if they were not married.

The rumors of Kidman begging Cruise not to divorce her could not be far from the truth, but in the end, Cruise was set on his plans.

Both Kidman and Cruise moved on to different paths in their lives. Cruise eventually remarried in 2006 with actress Katie Holmes with who he shares one child with, daughter Suri Cruise.

The two eventually called it quits after Holmes filed for divorce over the fear of safety for Suri due to Tom’s association with the Church of Scientology.

On the other hand, Nicole Kidman married fellow Australian singer Keith Urban with whom she shared two biological kids.
