Will Smith has enjoyed unprecedented success in the film business. However, it is almost unbelievable that he thinks rapping was much simpler than acting for him. 

Today, millions of people know him for his stellar performances in some big films. However, he did not start his career as an actor in the first place. He was initially a rapper and called himself “The Fresh Prince.” 

DJ Jazzy Jeff and he came up with multiple records that did reasonably good business in the 1980s. He also has the distinction of bagging the first-ever Grammy Award in the category of Rap music. 

Smith also got success as a solo musician. He has two singles in his credit, which were part of the soundtrack called Men in Black. Both these singles were global chartbusters. He added them in his first solo album titled Big Willie Style. 

The album did good business and sold more than 9 million copies worldwide. It is also featured in the list of top ten Billboard albums chart. 

Smith is one of the most renowned film stars globally, yet he feels that the craft is a tough one. The actor acknowledged that he found rapping to be a lesser challenge than acting, The Hollywood Reporter mentions. 

His high confidence level as a musician was because he knew people would always come up with the same reaction to his songs. Will Smith feels that when one has a hit record in their kitty, it is easier to perform on the stage. 

On the other hand, he feels acting is tougher because he is uncertain about how his audiences will react to his movies. He says that while one may think that they have given their life the best performance, people might still dislike the role. 

According to the actor, an actor might have slogged a lot, and yet the film might flop at the box office. Audiences might not only dislike a movie, but they could also become “creative” about letting an actor know that they hated it. 

During the interview, the actor revealed that he had suffered several disillusionments at various stages in his acting profession. While he has managed to get over most of his disappointments, the actor feels his biggest mistake was associated with Wild Wild West. 

Though Will Smith has suffered multiple setbacks in his career, he is still one of Hollywood’s most dependable actors. His recent movie Bad Boys for Life did a business of more than $426 million, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports.
