Princess Diana’s life was not the most fairytale-like life the people wanted, instead, it showed the harsh reality of the women married into the high-ranking royal members.
A new bombshell book by acclaimed royal historian and biographer Robert Lacey is currently in the works of being published.
‘Battle of Brothers’ is said to write accounts of how Prince William and Prince Harry went on in life from there teenage years up to their falling out.
Several claims were made by Lacey regarding the private lives of the two royal brothers including that of the scandalous themes their famous royal mother was involved in as well.
‘Battle of Brothers’ claims that Prince William wept and broke down when his mother, the late Princess Diana revealed in an interview with Martin Bashir that she was involved in an extramarital affair with Army Officer James Hewitt.
The Panorama interview with Princess Diana went on to be one of the most scandalous and truthful interviews in the world of the royals and of celebrities.
According to an account given by a former royal aide of Prince William and Prince Harry, the Prince was seen slumped on a chair weeping after the news broke out.
Princess Diana was said to have called an hour after the interview was aired, which William did not answer.
The affair between Army Officer James Hewitt and the Princess of Wales was already well known amongst the close members of the royal family, but Princess Diana’s children were unaware of it.
Other claims made by the book are the extracurricular activities that Prince Harry did as a young teenager. According to Lacey, the young Prince excessively smoked weed and was even nicknamed ‘Hash Harry’.
‘Battle of Brothers’ also reveals that William and Harry had their own private disco club called ‘H’, which was put up in a bomb-proof shelter in the cellar of their father’s Highgrove estate.
The book also exposes the real reason why the royal brothers had a falling out in the later years of their life, claiming that William’s intervention in Harry’s personal love life with Meghan Markle set off the bomb that blasted the two’s relationship into oblivion.
The Palace has not commented on the news about Robert Lacey’s ‘Battle of Brothers’, this is the second book that has involved the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Harry and Meghan have yet to release a statement as well.
