Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom recently sparked rumors that they have already tied the knot.
Two years ago, OK! magazine claimed that Perry and Bloom secretly tied the knot even before the couple announced that they were engaged. A source told the tabloid that the couple’s wedding was held in Prague.
However, the tabloid or its dubious source didn’t have any photos to support their claims. Still, they claimed that Perry and Bloom eloped because they couldn’t wait to start a family.
But it is important to note that Perry announced her engagement to Bloom 11 months after the dubious claims were published. This proves that the tabloid’s claims are incorrect.
Gossip Cop also debunked the tabloid’s claims by saying that they spoke with a rep for Perry. And they were told that the rumors are false. The rep also said that Perry and Bloom didn’t even go to Prague together.
Weeks after the couple announced their engagement, Now to Love claimed that Perry and Bloom asked Kanye West to officiate their nuptials.
“They want their wedding to make a huge splash by having a celebrity officiant. And who better than Kanye?” a source claimed.
The tabloid claimed that Perry and Bloom were asking West to officiate their wedding simply because the couple attended the rapper’s Sunday Service. However, this isn’t true. West wouldn’t have any involvement in Perry and Bloom’s nuptials.
Months later, the same tabloid claimed that Perry and Bloom’s wedding will take place in Egypt. Once again, the tabloid published a dubious story based on what Perry and Bloom recently did. After all, they went to the Nile with their friends.
Perry’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that the rumors are nothing more than that. And they also stressed that the claims are just myths.
For now, Perry and Bloom still haven’t given an update about their wedding plans. They were supposed to tie the knot earlier this year, but they had to postpone the ceremony because of COVID-19.
Before Perry welcomed her daughter, Daisy, she told Today Show that her focus is her pregnancy. This proves that she and Bloom are in no rush to tie the knot.
The American Idol judge also told the interviewer to ask her in a year’s time what her wedding plans are. This once again proves that she’s not rushing to get married to Bloom.
